How it is calculated
- The discount comes off the item total first, then 7% VAT is charged on the amount after discount, rounded to the satang.
- Validity counts from the issue date. Issued on the 1st and valid for 30 days means valid until the 31st.
- A quotation is not a tax invoice. Once the customer accepts and pays, the shop issues a separate receipt or tax invoice.
Frequently asked questions
What should a quotation include?
Your business name and address, the customer name, a number and date, items with prices, the total, how long the price is valid, payment and delivery terms, and a line for the customer to accept. Press the example button to see a completed one.
Does a quotation need to show withholding tax?
Not required. A quotation is not a tax document and withholding happens when the customer pays. If the customer is a company, note the amount after withholding so they prepare the right payment.
Can I issue a quotation in English?
Yes. Choose the English document and every label on it switches to English. Your business name and items show as you type them.
Is the information I enter stored?
No. It stays in your browser only and is not sent anywhere. Close the page and it is gone.
