Who it's for
For small factories and manufacturers
Small manufacturers usually know their sales but not their true cost per unit, because raw materials are bought in lots and shared across products. GORINY lets you set up bills of materials and calculates cost from the materials actually used each time you record production.

Common problems: Small factories and manufacturers
- Selling prices set by gut feel, because you don't know the real cost per unit
- Raw materials run out mid-run, because material stock isn't tied to the production plan
- Materials are bought in lots, but the cost in your books doesn't reflect the latest price
- Your customers are companies, so you need full tax invoices and they withhold tax from your payments
A day with GORINY
Following the store's real schedule, from opening to month end
Morning
Check remaining raw materials against the bills of materials for today's orders before deciding how many units to make.
Manufacturing
Record production against the BOM. The system deducts raw materials and receives finished goods into stock, with cost calculated from the material lots used.
Receiving materials
Send purchase orders to suppliers and receive partial deliveries. The latest purchase price updates raw material cost.
Sales
Issue full tax invoices to corporate customers and see gross profit per bill based on actual production cost.
Month-end
The income statement separates raw material cost, labor and other expenses. File P.P.30 and withholding tax from the documents in the system.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I change the materials in a BOM?
- You can edit a BOM at any time. The next production run uses the new version, while runs already recorded keep their cost based on the old one.
- How is cost per unit calculated?
- From the raw materials in the recipe times their average cost when you record the production run, plus the labour and overhead in the recipe. GORINY posts the inventory to your books for you, so the balance sheet matches what is in the warehouse.
- How do I record production waste?
- Adjust stock and give waste as the reason. The system keeps a history so you can look back and see which run it came from.
- A corporate customer withheld 3% tax. How do I record it?
- When you receive payment on the invoice, tick that the customer withheld tax. The system works out the tax from the pre-VAT amount, closes the invoice in full and totals the tax withheld for the year so you can use it when you file your income tax.
